Introduction
to the Learning Quest
Students are taking on the role of
a sports dietitian and researching the importance
of young people eating a balanced diet and
being physically active. During this Learning
Quest students will first build up their
own knowledge about healthy eating and physical
activity, look at themselves and others
and then make recommendations on a selection
of topical scenarios.
Students may complete more than one of
the scenarios. You might want to suggest
some others.
The important message in this Learning
Quest is that we are all different, however,
we are all important and special in our
own ways. Thus the title: You

!

Students will be making many recommendations
throughout this Learning Quest via the role
of a sports dietitian. They should also
be encouraged to think about them and what
impact it has on them, now. Keep in the back of your mind that this
Learning Quest should not just be done in
front of the computer - we want students
to get outside and away from their desks
as well.
