Introduction
There is no easy answer to what makes
me, me or you, you! Your genetic makeup,
the physical traits that get passed down
to you from your parents, plays a big part
in determining your size and weight. If
both your parents are tall, there is a good
chance you'll be tall.
To investigate further what makes, me,
me you will be developing an 'Great Things
About Me Record'. Remember everyone is
different and special in their own ways.
Great
Things About Me
You will be working on the 'Great Things
About Me Record' individually but will be
sharing some parts with a larger group and
maybe at times with the class. We also encourage
you to share your 'Great Things About Me
Record' with your family.
You will be researching your own body features
and information about you by recording all
the interesting facts and information.

Start the task by writing a description
about yourself.
Include:
Likes, dislikes, features (brown hair,
blue eyes, height, weight), you may even
like to include some information about your
physical activity preferences, however do
not write your name on this. You may even
want to type your description so your handwriting
cannot be recognised.
Play the game, 'Who Am I'. Place your descriptions
on the board or class walls and see if members
of the class can guess who is who?
Continue to build up your 'Great Things
About Me Record' including your description
and information about how you've grown -
height, weight, shape and hair and what
you like. Use the themes above to help you
- about me, about my body, foods I like,
physical activity I enjoy, important firsts,
sports I play, teams I belong to, hobbies
and things I enjoy. See if your parents
or other relatives have a record of some
of the special growing up moments and even
photos. Try scanning these photos to add
to your record. Also look at baby books,
family photos, videos and records to help
add important information about you.
Once you have finished your 'Great Things
About Me Record' reflect over how you have
grown and developed to be you. What are
the special features that make you, you?
