  Your teacher will arrange a class discussion and brainstorming activity about the importance of having breakfast everyday. A brainstorm is when many ideas are collected from a group of people.

Brainstorm:

The importance of breakfast
  Different breakfast ideas to start the day
  What should a nutritious breakfast include
  How do you feel if you miss breakfast
  Why some people skip breakfast
  Ways to ensure everyone starts the day with breakfast everyday
  Questions you may have about breakfast

You will also discuss the importance of daily physical activity.
Brainstorm:

The general benefits of physical activity
  How much physical activity is necessary for good health
  Why is daily physical activity important
  Some of the barriers to being physically active
  Ways to increase opportunities to be physically active

See what information you can collate before starting this Learning Quest.
Possible methods:

Write your ideas and questions on a large sheet of paper
  Write your ideas and questions on the classroom whiteboard
  Write your ideas and questions on sticky notes or cards

Use concept mapping software such as Inspiration® to brainstorm ideas and questions. You can also use software such as Word or Paint if you do not have Inspiration®.

Once the Learning Quest is finished, and if you have time, you can revisit this information to see if your ideas and questions have changed.When you have finished the brainstorming session, use the 5 Fun Ways Wheel to help further explore and develop ideas about what the benefits of eating breakfast are.
