Why is it important to eat breakfast and be active EVERYDAY?

Enter your class’ song, jingle, poem or rap for an opportunity to WIN vouchers to purchase sports equipment for your school, PLUS Kellogg’s breakfast cereal for the winning school.

Get together with your teacher and class mates and undertake parts of or all of the ‘Everyday Habits – Breakfast and Physical Activity’ learning quest and enter the competition.

Your job is to develop a song, jingle, poem or rap that spreads the word about the EVERYDAY theme of the 5 Fun Ways Wheel by promoting the importance of eating breakfast and being active EVERYDAY. Submit your entry (either online or via the post) for the opportunity to WIN some great prizes.

First prize is a $5000 including GST (AUD) voucher to purchase sporting goods for your school, PLUS Kellogg’s will also provide the winning school with breakfast cereal for their school*.
   
There are also runner up prizes for the next best 5 entries, as judged by the judging panel. Each runner up will receive a $2000 including GST (AUD) voucher to purchase sporting goods for your school.

There is only one entry permitted per class and teachers must provide a verification statement that the work is that of their students.

Entries will be judged by a panel of judges from Kellogg and the Technology School of the Future. The judges will be looking for indicators of student learning, investigation and creativity in supporting peers to have breakfast and be active everyday, evidence of planning, online research, student collaboration and understanding of the ‘5 Fun Ways to Health and Fitness’, in particular the Everyday theme.

Competition closes 5pm EST or last mail received 8th April 2004.

READY TO ENTER THE COMPETITION?
Once your class has completed the Learning Quest and have selected the poem, jingle, song or rap they wish to enter, you have 2 choices:

1. Submit your entry online
Online entries must be less than 3 Mb. They can be sound or video files (.avi, .mov, .mpg, .wmv, .swf, .wav, .au), word documents, Power-point presentations, Adobe Acrobat files, Image files, or as a website. You can only submit a single file, however you can compress your entry using a data compression utility (eg: Winzip, Stuffit Expander) if your presentation consists of multiple files, and submit your entry as a single WinZip file.

2. Submit your entry via the post
If your entry is larger than 3 Mb, or you would like to mail us your entry, please Click here to complete and print the entry form.

Postal entries can be a single or any combination of: hard copy documents (ie: printed material, posters), video tapes, computer file(s) on CD-ROM or floppy disk containing word documents, PowerPoint Presentations, Adobe Acrobat files, Image files or Video files, or a WinZip file containing one or more of any of these types of files. If you submit multiple files on CD-ROM or floppy disk, you will need to nominate the file which will be viewed for judging (the file can be a WinZip file).
